Missional Model Training in North Texas

Missional Model Training in North Texas

This past weekend in North Texas, something quietly historic happened. A room full of intercultural pastors and ministry leaders, including Spanish, Portuguese, Swahili, and African French speakers, gathered together to receive A Missional Model of Church Life. The event was called Aligned & Activated, hosted by The Five Gifts Foundation and sponsored by NTAG Intercultural Ministries, the intercultural arm of the North Texas District of the Assemblies of God. Their mandate is captured in a single line: “Reaching the Nations in the Neighborhood.” And on this day, the neighborhood was the room itself. A Conference Built for Sent Ones Aligned & Activated was designed specifically for intercultural church leaders serving the international communities scattered across North Texas. These are pastors who function as missionaries in their own zip codes, leading congregations that worship in their heart language while serving a mission field most American churches don’t yet know how to reach. The conference opened Friday evening with a Prayer Encounter. Saturday brought a full day of training, walking leaders through the Church Life Missional Model in real time. By the end of the weekend, intercultural pastors had taken the framework home, not as theory, but as a living model they can immediately apply in their congregations. What They Received The Church Life Missional Model gives leaders a biblical framework for aligning leadership, mission, and structure. Drawing from Ephesians 4 and the fivefold servant gifts of Christ, it equips pastors to move from vision to structure, from gifting to fruitfulness, and from passion to long-term impact. For intercultural leaders especially, many of whom carry strong calling but have had limited access to a clear ministry framework, the model functions as a kind of trellis. Something solid the vine of their calling can grow on. Why This Matters The Great Commission, in this hour, isn’t only happening across oceans. It’s happening...

A Different Kind of Gathering This Year

A Different Kind of Gathering This Year

We want to share something with you about where Church Life is heading this fall, and we hope you will be as excited about it as we are. After much prayer and conversation as a team, we are postponing our Church Life Conference to 2027. In its place this year, we are leading a missions trip to Lima, Peru, November 11 through 16, partnering with Catedral de Fe and their annual outreach, Operation Hope (Operación Esperanza). Here is why this feels right for this season. For months we have been talking about three things in the Church Life community: a heart for the nations, the call of the marketplace, and the strengthening of the local church. This trip is where all three meet. We will be: Reaching the nations through ministry in Lima, including children's and adult crusades, feeding the homeless, distributing groceries, and providing medical care with medication. Honoring the marketplace at a Thursday night marketplace banquet that gathers Lima's business and ministry leaders together in one room. Strengthening the local church by coming alongside Catedral de Fe and the network of churches connected to Operation Hope. Pastors traveling with us may also have the opportunity to preach at local churches that Sunday. We see this as the beginning of a rhythm we believe God is leading us into: a year for going, followed by a year for gathering. Mission trips and conferences, working in tandem. This year is a year for going. Trip details at a glance: Dates: November 11 to 16, 2026 Host: Catedral de Fe, Lima, Peru Outbound: AA917, Miami to Lima, Wednesday November 11, departs 5:35 PM Return: AA1558, Lima to Miami, Monday November 16, departs around 8:00 AM Hotel: El Pardo Lima, a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, Miraflores. Reservations at +51 1-617-1000 or 800-222-TREE. Mention that you are with Church Life when booking. What participants take care of: airfare, hotel, and meals. What participants give toward, in cash and on-site with a receipt from Catedral de Fe:...

A Sacred Gathering

A Sacred Gathering

Reflections From Our Second CLCMN 2026 Cohort Meeting There is something holy that happens when leaders gather with open hearts and expectant spirits, and that is exactly what unfolded during our second in-person cohort meeting for CLCMN 2026. This session carried us deep into the Spiritual Life quadrant of the Church Life Model, one of the most formative and foundational areas of whole-church health. Together, we explored what it means to cultivate vibrant personal devotion, corporate prayer, and a community rhythm of seeking the Lord. These are not abstract concepts for us. They are the lifeblood of every thriving ministry, and this cohort leaned in with hunger and humility. What made this gathering especially rich was the presence of a wonderful array of mentors who came to pour into our students. Each one brought a distinct voice, a distinct calling, and a distinct well of wisdom. They spoke with clarity into the lives of our students, calling out gifts, affirming callings, and speaking directly to matters of destiny. You could feel the weight of years of faithful ministry in every word offered. As the week drew toward its close, the atmosphere shifted into something even deeper. We entered into a prophetic time of encouragement and releasing, where the Spirit moved through our mentors and leaders to speak specific words of direction, blessing, and commissioning over each participant. There were tears. There was laughter. There was the kind of quiet awe that settles on a room when heaven touches earth. Our students left that moment carrying something they did not walk in with, and that is the whole point of a cohort like this one. Looking ahead, we want to give you a gentle heads up. We are preparing to unveil a fresh wave of training opportunities for 2027, and we believe these will open doors for many of you who have been sensing the Lord stir something new. More details will come in the weeks ahead. Stay tuned, stay prayerful, and stay close to this...
